Hello Clary, You were my drum major @ Forest Park. Don was my first director @ Vincent. Your father taught me so much more than how to play the saxophone. He taught me how to respect myself and what it means to have self esteem. He will never be forgotten. He touched so many hearts, and seemed to genuinely take pride in helping so many of us get through the awkward early teen years. God Bless you and all of your family.

We have lost one of our dearest friends. The Knapp family were and are like family to us. We have so many good memories doing things together. Leland, Peggy, Donna, and Clary your Mother and Daddy loved you so much. Kate, Evan, and Journee your Papa was so proud of you. Every time we talked with him, he told us about you and what you were doing. Don, I will miss hearing you play "Cherry Pink and Apple Blossom White" on your trumpet for me. I always enjoyed seeing and hearing the cruise ship audiences when you would play it for the passenger talent show. They were surprised hearing the beautiful sound you made on your trumpet as you were always the best in the show Don, you don 't hurt anymore and you are with your God and the love of your life, Jo Ann. Until we see you again someday, have the dominoes and deck of cards ready.
