Reuben A. Isern, M.D.

This was my doctor for many years. Dr Isern was the best. He was also a very big supporter of the Golden Triangle Branch of the Gulf Coast Chapter of the Lupus Foundation, later renamed the June Cappello Branch. We worked together on several Lupus Medical Symposiums, where he was one of the keynote speakers. He always gave me time and attention as a patient, a Board Member of the area Lupus group and as a friend. My parents had even bought a jeep from him and I always told him that I wanted his black Porche, he would always laugh. My heart is sad at his passing, but God needed him more. There will never be another doctor like him. You will always have a special place in my heart. Later Dr Isern, you were the best!

I have tried several times to reconnect with Dr. Isern in the last year or so to no avail. I loved him dearly as not only a doctor but looked to him as a friend as well. I had gone to him so long as a patient that I felt we could talk about anything, especially our precious grand babies. I will sincerely miss him!

He did so much for so many. My family and I will never forget Dr. Rueben Isern. I am so fortunate to have known him and for him to have been my physician during a very complicated health disorder in the 1980's. He would call me at home on Christmas Eve and Christmas day just to make sure I was feeling well. He would meet me at his office at 7 or 8 at night rather than send me through the ER. They just don't make them like that any more.
My sincere condolences to his family, friends and loved ones.

Yvette, We will not be able to be with you, your parents, and family at this time of your sorrow. Our cousin in Dallas passed and we will be with family. Know that our hearts and prayers are with all of you. May the Holy Spirit be with all of you at this time of sorrow and ease your sorrow.
