Reuben, you have been taken away too soon. Words cannot express how deeply saddened we are. Our thoughts and prayers go out to your beautiful and loving family, and we ask for God's blessings of courage, strength, and peace during this difficult time. You leave us with beautiful memories, and amazing thoughts and philosophies. Thank you for joyfully sharing your extraordinary life. You will be surely missed.

So sorry for your loss..I too worked for this man on different occasions and he was also my mothers dr...He was a great man and Dr. whom I called my friend. His presence will be missed..

I am so sorry for your loss. This whole family was like a second family to me, always so welcoming and kind. Reuben was always nice and friendly to me, even though I was just his little sister's friend. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the entire Isern family. I am so sorry for the untimely passing of Dr. Reuben. I know he will be missed by many. I pray you find comfort in knowing that he is in God's merciful and loving arms, and that God give you the grace and strength you will need to endure your heartache. We were so sorry to hear of Reuben's passing. Geoff and Reuben spent a couple of winters fruitlessly hunting for duck and geese near High Island. Geoff also worked with Reuben at St Elizabeth Hospital. He was a great person and a terrific doctor. He loved Rheumatology and he loved his patients.

Reuben, your passing has left a hole in our lives and our hearts that will never be filled. We have taken your well loved kitty, Lawrence into our homes as we feel you would have wanted us to do. He will be a constant presence and reminder of happy times with you ! Our prayers are with your family and all who loved you.
