Lucille “Lucy” Bech, 92, of Beaumont, died Thursday, March 21, 2013, at Calder Woods. A native of Richards, Texas, she was born on May 23, 1920, to Betha Day Robinson and George Morris.
Lucy was an avid reader and a member of the Deborah Sunday School Class at Calder Baptist. She had a passion for flowers and gardening, and enjoyed visiting with her family and friends.
Survivors include her daughter, Melissa Bech and her fiancé, Tim Spell, of San Leon; and her niece, Sheila Morris of Montgomery, Texas.
She is preceded in death by her husband, J.V. Bech; son, Jay Vee Bech; and granddaughter, Nikki Turrentine-Hejl.
A gathering of Mrs. Bech’s family and friends will be from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., Friday, March 22, 2013, at Broussard’s, 2000 McFaddin Avenue, Beaumont. Her funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 23, 2013, at Calder Baptist Church, 1005 North 11th Street, Beaumont, with interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery, in Richards, Texas, near Navasota.
