Dear Lucy,
Thank you for your friendship. I wish I had known you better sooner. During the few recent years we have been friends, I have admired your spirit, involvement, attitude, gentility, graciousness, and beauty. You will be very greatly missed.
Love and Blessings, Gwen

When I first met Lucy in the mid-1950's, I thought she was the most gracious lady I had ever encountered. And she became even more so over the years. I will miss visiting with her. My thoughts and prayers are with her family. How blessed they are to have years of wonderful memories with Lucy.

What a special lady she was! I knew Lucy through our membership at Calder Baptist Church. We will miss her sweet smile and her gracious ways. Please know that your family is in our thoughts and our prayers. May you feel God's presence during this sad time and always. Paula O'Neal

Lucille was possibly the smartest, hippest, most beautiful woman, of any age, that I have ever met. I hope to use her as a role model for getting the most from life and facing any trials and tribulations thrown at me with her same grace, style and attitude. My love to Melissa and Tim and peace to all who have lost her.

Lucy was a very special lady and one of my all-time favorite volunteers at the McFaddin-Ward House. I was so sorry when she had to retire from the museum. On behalf of all the staff and volunteers who knew Lucy during her time here, I offer my deepest sympathy.

Melissa, I'm sorry to hear about your mom. I remember meeting her one time, and that was also when I met Nikki. Your mom surely had a long life. Please accept my condolences and sympathy.
