Doris Theresa Gaudet Dies

Doris
Theresa Gaudet Dies, 86, of Beaumont, died Saturday, September 12, 2015. She
was born on December 14, 1928, in China, Texas, to Josephine Jannise Gaudet and
L. J. Andrew Gaudet, and had been a lifelong resident of the area.
Doris
volunteered with children’s Religious Education at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic
Church, Some Other Place, and faithfully went to Eucharistic Chapel at St. Anne
Catholic Church.
She
is survived by her daughters, Kitty Seim and her husband, Jim, of Beaumont and
Rita Lemke and her husband, Randy, of China; grandchildren, Kellie Truxillo and
her husband, Raymond; Quentin Estay and Melissa; Meghan Seim; Will “Beau”
Nelson and his wife, Nevie; and Melanie Gray and her husband, K.C.; three
step-grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and sister, Nettie J.
Quebedeaux.
Doris
is preceded in death by her husband, Louis Dies; daughter, Jeanette Estay; parents,
Josephine Gaudet and L. J. Andrew Gaudet; and siblings, Joseph Otis Gaudet,
Dewey Gaudet, Martin Gaudet, and Dorothy Blanchard.
The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to all
their friends at Southeast Texas Hospice, especially nurses, Brenda, Robin, Shirley,
Staci, Ruth, and caregiver, Shanette. They were so caring and helpful to us in
this difficult time. Thanks to our home caregivers, Sarah Mae Ardoin, who
guided us through the last difficult days, and Rhonda Haywood, with Earth Angels
who cared for Mama last year.
A
gathering of Mrs. Dies’ family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00
p.m., with her Rosary recited at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, September 17, 2015, at
Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont. A Mass of Christian Burial will
be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Friday, September 18, 2015, at St. Anne Catholic
Church, 2715 Calder Avenue, Beaumont, with her interment to follow at China
Cemetery, China.
