Robert “Bob” Moore, 74, of Kountze, died Saturday, October 11, 2014. He was born on May 15, 1940, in Dayton, to Lois Tebedeaux and Wayland Merle Moore, and had been a long time resident of the area. Bob was a United States Navy veteran and was retired with IBM.
He is survived by his wife, Iris Moore of Kountze; nephews, Steven Moore of Kountze, Allen Moore of New Orleans, Louisiana, and James Moore of Jasper; nieces, Carol Reppel of New Orleans, Louisiana and Lois Flowers of Orangefield; and many other nieces, nephews, and loving family members.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents, Lois and Merle Moore; and brothers, Merle Moore, Jack Moore, James Moore, Burt Moore, Don Moore, and Darrell Moore.
A gathering of Mr. Moore’s family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Monday, October 13, 2014, at Broussard’s, 530 West Monroe, Kountze. There will be an additional gathering beginning at 12:00 p.m., with his funeral service to follow at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 14, 2014, at Broussard’s. Interment will follow at Old Hardin Cemetery, Kountze.
