I first met Bob, when I became his manager at the IBM Beaumont location. Bob was quick to welcome me and my family to the area, and we became good friends even through an employee/manager relationship.
I saw and knew Bob as a very caring and giving man with a big heart and a uniquely dry sense of humor that was as much a part of his fabric as his DNA. Bob was a very good and competent technician, but often it takes more than technical skills to please a client. I have been on many customer calls with Bob, when the only thing that could restore customer satisfaction was his sense of humor that could instantly defuse the most tense situations. He would often say things in a comical way that only he could get away with, and it was all in the timing and delivery.
Sharon and I will miss Bob, but his memory will live on in our hearts forever. Iris, may God be with you and your family and bring you peace and comfort in the days to come.
