Colleen "Monk" Ronquille

Colleen “Monk” Ronquille, 64, of Port Acres, died
Sunday, July 6, 2014, at Christus Hospital St. Elizabeth in Beaumont. She was
born on September 16, 1949, in Port Arthur, to Harriet Houston Monk and J.D.
Monk, Sr., and had been a lifelong resident of the area. Colleen was a retired
twirling coach and owned Colleen’s Twirling Academy.
She is survived by her husband, Royce Ronquille of
Port Acres; son, Chip Ronquille of North Dakota; daughter, Wendy Ronquille
Thompson and her husband, Mike, of Port Neches; grandchildren, Tripp Thompson
and Piper Thompson; father-in-law, Clenton Ronquille; and a host of other
loving family members and close friends.
Colleen is preceded in death by her parents;
brother, David Monk; and mother-in-law, Nathalie Ronquille.
A gathering of Colleen’s family and friends will be
from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 9, 2014, at Broussard’s, 505
North 12th Street, Nederland. Her funeral service will be 10:00
a.m., Thursday, July 10, 2014, at Calvary Baptist Church, 2208 Canal Street,
Port Acres, with interment to follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park.
