I just learned today (8/1) that Colleen has passed away. I'm so sorry to hear this. I am one of the many students of Colleen and would like to extend my condolences to the family.

I am saddened by the passing of Colleen. We graduated the same year from NHS and I remember her great skill with batons, as well as her sweet personality. Please accept my most profound sympathy for your loss. May God grant you peace. Love, Susan and Charlie Streetman, Nederland

"Remembrance is a golden chain Death tries to break, but all in vain. To have . . . to love . . . and then to part is the greatest sorrow of one's heart. The years may wipe out many things but some they wipe out never, like memories of those happy times when we were all together."

Royce, Chip, and Wendy Our hearts go out to the entire family and all of those touched by Colleen, such a loss is hard to understand. I always hnew that Colleen was a very special lady both talented and Faith strong. We enjoyed the visits with the family while Wendy was twirling at McNeese. Godspeed my friends.

Colleen was always patient and kind as she worked with us; a group of awkward, giggly and silly young girls. The grace and confidence that she taught us stayed with us long after we stopped twirling. What a blessing she has been to so very many women! Rest in peace, dear sweet Colleen.

Such a wonderful lady. She mentored me for years. Always kind and funny! She was the topic of a family conversation a few days ago. Prayers for her family!

Colleen was a great teacher. So many times when I've felt like giving up, I think of her and say, "Can't never could do nothing". It's been a long time, but she definitely made an impact on me...on anyone that she taught. She was the best. You always knew you were in the most capable hands if she was your teacher.
Colleen, thanks for the good memories. The twirling camps where you would let us tag along. The hours you devoted to us before tryouts. The Texas Tornadoes. Taking us to see Wendy twirl at McNeese. You were a huge part of our lives for so long. You helped us grow not only in talent, but in perserverance, in patience, in passion. You and your time were gifts which you gave so generously. I feel very grateful to have known you. Rest in Peace...

Forever changed our lives. Forever in our hearts. God truly broke the mold when He made Colleen Monk Ronquille. Just thinking of her always brought a huge smile to us. She was blessed with the gift of encouragement, and she used it well. What a woman. God knows how she will be missed here on Earth. She was loved by all she met. God bless you all Royce, Wendy, Chip, and the rest of your family. Heaven is definitely the winner here.
