Scott S. Smith, 60, of Port
Neches, died Sunday, June 8, 2014, at M.D.
Anderson Cancer
Center, Houston. He was born on April 28, 1954, in
Port Arthur, to Barbara Ann Mayea Smith and George Wilbur Smith, and had been a
long time resident of the area. Scott was a member of Eagles Lodge #3753 and
Teamster Local #988.
Scott enjoyed music and loved
spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He never met a
stranger.
Scott is survived by his son,
Gerad Smith and his wife, Kathy, of Beauxart Gardens; daughters, Stephanie
Smith and her fiancé, Chris Riggle and Stacey Smith, all of Nederland; stepson,
Joshua Dominy and his wife Mary, of Wyoming; father, George Smith of Nederland;
grandchildren, Kamryn Smith, Gracie Dominy, and Sadie Riggle; sisters, Linda
Rials and her husband, Rod and Debbie Davis and her husband, Buddy; brother;
Darren Smith and his wife, Linda; and his sweetie, Sharon Walker.
He is preceded in death by his
mother; and sister, Bonnie Sue Smith.
A gathering of Mr. Smith’s family
and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, June 12, 2014, at
Broussard’s, 505 North 12th
Street, Nederland. His
funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 13, 2014, at Broussard’s, with
interment to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Groves.
