Robert Lee Davidson

Robert Lee “Uncle Bob” Davidson,
70, of Lumberton,
died Thursday, September 5, 2013. He was
born on January 24, 1943, in Houston,
to Margaret Johansen Davidson and Charles Davidson. Robert served his country in the United
States Army during Vietnam
where he earned the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star. He was a Deacon of First Baptist Church Loeb
and on the board of East Texas Baptist Encampment.
Survivors include his wife, Betty
Davidson; children, Jeffrey Davidson and his wife, Sharon, of Portland; Andrea
Stansbury and her husband, Kenn, of San Antonio; Shelly Traweek and her
husband, Russell, of Alvin; and Michael Davidson and his wife, Carrie, of
Beaumont; and grandchildren, Jake Davidson, Grace Traweek, Robert Stansbury,
Aaron Traweek, Lleyton Davidson, Elijah Traweek, Thomas Stansbury, Lily
Traweek, Marlie Jane Davidson, Austin Stansbury, and Norman Davidson. He is preceded in death by his parents; and
brother, Gene Davidson.
A gathering of Mr. Davidson’s
family and friends will begin at 1:00 p.m., with his funeral service at 3:00
p.m., Monday, September 9, 2013, at Broussard’s, 490 Cemetery Road, Silsbee. His interment will follow at Old Hardin
Cemetery, Kountze.
In lieu of flowers, memorial
contributions may be made to East Texas Baptist Encampment, 178 Private Road, Newton,
Texas 75966.
