Robert Lee you were my favorite cousin, my mentor, my friend and fishing companion when I was young. You always took me fishing while we were camping in Garner. You sold me your favorite car, the 65 Mustang. I wish I still had it. You let me and my friends use your home while we surfed in a contest over Thanksgiving weekend in 1969. Bennie and I honeymooned at your house in 1972. We got to fish Rockport several times and we had many fine summers camping in Garner. You were a good man and strong example for us all to strive to be. You were a warrior, but kind and gentle man. I will always cherish our memories and will miss you until my time comes to be in Heaven with you and the rest of our beloved family. Bennie and I send our condolences to Betty and the family.
Love for eternity
Your "cuz" Russell

ONE SWEET DAY The Lord has been waiting in Heaven above to take me, so that he could have another angel to love. He has for 70 years been preparing me a place. Where there will be no more sorrow, no more fears, no more hurt and no more tears.. So please don't cry for me; for I am not sad. Just try and remember the good times we've had. So don't fee sad, for I'm doing okay, and I will see you again..... ONE SWEET DAY by Doyelle Collins

May the comfort from others in this time of sorrow support you and help you to see ~ what a difference one life has made to so many, what a blessing one person could be. Bob served God with his whole heart and being. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Robert Lee was my fun loving big cousin that I always looked up to. I will miss him dearly. He always had a good story to tell and he loved the outdoors. He loved his family and he was true to his religion and his belief in God. Rest in peace Robert Lee.

A Hero to his Country, community, family and friends. Robert Lee was an older and highly revered cousin who always took time to share his knowledge and experience. I learned a lot about life from R.L. along the banks of the Frio River in Garner State Park. God bless you my friend....Sheryl and I send our prayers to Betty and their children for comfort and peace...find us a good fishin' hole cuz !

I had the privilage to work with Bob during my years with Graybar Electric. Bob was a great leader and a valued friend. Bob was also the only person I knew that could build a bass boat from a horse trough...Bob will truly be missed. Our prayers and thoughts are with the Davidson family.
