My Prayers and thoughts are with you Kathy and all of your family. Your Mom was very accomplished and had a positive influence on so many lives, what a blessing. May your memories bring you comfort and joy, may your faith bring you peace and knowledge that you will see her again. God Bless Thursday, August 22, 2013 |

Because of Mrs. Fitzgerald's encouragement and influence, I became a kindergarten teacher and an early childhood specialist. She was there for me from the time before I entered Lamar University until after I graduated with certifications in Kindergarten and Early Childhood. She even attended my wedding shower. She made teaching exciting. I send my deepest sympathy to her children and Mr. Fitzgerald and want them to know how very much she was loved by her students. She always made me feel very special and I will miss her very much. With much affection, Terry Smith Bowers
