Meredith was such a fixture in her family and became a fixture in ours. There will be a hole in family gatherings now. Our families became one and now our matriarch has became an angel in heaven. She will surely be missed.
Thoughts and prayers for all of her family.

Meredith was a friend and sometimes shopping companion in places our RV travels took us. She most often looked for something for someone else. We'll miss her smile and that unflagging interest in so many things. Tuesday, August 6, 2013 |

It is hard to sum up in a few words what you meant to so many people. And I can’t…so why even try. How you cared for us and we for you! All of us who know and love you will remember your tenacity of character and the love you showed to your family and your many friends. You have truly left a mark on the community where you lived and the many people you came in contact with. I will always hear these words that you have said many many times, “If I only had a telescope that would let me look in on my children or grandchildren (whom you would list by name), so I would know that they are doing O.K.!” I wish I had a camera that could capture an image of everyone you have influenced. The camera would be as big as the universe and the people as many as the stars in the night sky! I wish I could one more time turn your camera around and click an image that you would find later when you developed the film or looked at your digital images. I wish I had an extra minute to see your smile, hear your laugh, listen to you tell Bill to get all of us guys out of the train room, or play a game using your rules-(smile)! While you are not a native Texan, you are truly a “Yellow Rose of Texas”! Meredith Fitzgerald: Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, teacher, mentor, friend…Somewhere in the universe last Saturday a new star was born to symbolize all that you are and what you meant to us. A star to shine bright to inspire all of us you leave behind to remind us to be the best we can be! I will miss you very much! But I will always have my memories of you to reflect back upon…memories of family…..memories of love.
To the Fitzgerald family, the Baltz family and I share in your loss!
