It is with the deepest sympathy that I offer my sincere condolences to Steve's family and friends. To have been a coach who was such a positive influence on so many lives has to be of great comfort for all who knew him.. It was indeed an honor and a privilege for me personally to have known Steve not only as a good friend , but as a team mate of the 1961 Lone Star Conference Football Champion Sam Houston State Bearkats . He will be missed by all who knew him and may God have mdercy on his soul.

Love and Prayers going out to each and every one of you during this difficult time. I can't stop thinking about what you said, Steve about you were watching the Super Bowl with your Dad becasuse you never knew how many yall would have left! I'm so glad a few weeks ago I was able to share some crawfish with him while watching Bryce play. What an Amazing husband, father, Grandfather, and friend to so many.
