Verna and family, I'm just reading of Pinky's passing. Please accept my sincere condolences. He was a fine man! I have missed the residents at the Arb. Sadly, not working there I have lost contact with them and their families. He always made me laugh. And what a beautiful smile he had! I'm truly sorry for your loss. You and your family will be in my prayers.

Mr Heckaman was a Proverbs 17:27 man...
He who has knowledge spares his words,
And a man of understanding is of a calm spirit.

Through the years living by him, I witnessed a man of tremendous common sense and knowledge concerning ANY need regarding family, home and living. From sowing seed to using a hammer and nails and tools for machinery and automobiles. Always a postive word and encouragement. Postive attitude towards even the diriest of jobs that needed to be done. No complaints or sour words. All that should be most important to any man was to him, and he gave his best.
He walked tall, and with few words, carried a big stick called respect....

Verna and family, So sorry for the passing of Pink. I remember him well, and you too, when you visited here and when John and I were down there many years ago. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

I always remember Pinky as a good man, a funny man, an easy going man and so kind hearted. I love the way he picked on my Mother and Aunt May and delighted in making them laugh or getting a good laugh at their expense. He was someone who had his act together, knew how he wanted to live and made it happen.
