I am saddened for the loss of Mr. Heckman. His orbituary showed that he had a good life with a lot of loving support from multiple generations of his family. I am a coworker of Rocky Craigen. You and your exteded family will be in my prayers.

Pinky is cutting rice in heaven I'm sure of that. That man could fix and build anything, I always admired him for that. The community has lost one of the men that made Hamshire what it is today. Some of my fondest childhood memories involve the family gatherings when Pink would get a football or basketball game going with us kids, we would keep at it till dark and he would be right in there with us. We are going to miss you Pink. Our love goes out to Verna and the family we miss you all.

Dear Heckaman Family.
Our prayers are with you. I am sure there is a reunion in Heaven with the Heckamans, Deatons, Atwoods, Morris' and all the many other long time Hamshire families. It's so true that it takes a community to care for children and all of the above took pride in doing so. Thank you Verna and Pinky for being such an influence on so many.
