We are sorry for your loss and your family is in our prayers. Denver was such a role model and contributer to scouting influencing both my son and myself. Like so many others all of those river, hiking and Philmont trips were each special with Denver.

It made me sad to hear about Denver passing....I am so thankful that I will always have great memories of the trail rides and the visits to my mom and dads. His jokes were the best!!!!

Mr. Knowles was on my very first Philmont trek several years ago. I remember how anxious and somewhat lonesome I was, but happy to be there just the same. I've always remembered how gracious and helpful he was during that trip. I discovered that Boy Scout patch trading was important to so many there. Mr. Knowles gave me an Order of the Arrow flap that is a treasure to this day. I was sad to hear of this death, but will always remember him fondly.
