Florence Wiggins (Houston, TX)

Thank you, thank you so much "Aunt" Francis, as Destiny has so affectionately referred to you through the years. Thank you for accepting and encouraging my only daughter who God BLESSED my life with. You cherished her as one of your own. Thank you for sharing your only daughter, Shereka, as an AWESOME mentor and role model for Destiny. Thanks for the overnight stays and the opportunity for Destiny to hop aboard an out-of-state volleyball trip to see Shereka play. Your love offerings/deposits allowed me to enjoy some "ME' time in comfort knowing that I had no worries. Simply being with the Thomas family was "Satisfaction Guaranteed"! Thanks for the family
get-togethers. We never felt a difference. We felt right at home away from our home.

Thanks for last Monday when we visited you. You asked Destiny for an account of how she ended her school year and inquired about her hours for the upcoming year. That spoke volumes. When I questioned the number of hours she plans to take this upcoming fall semester in your presence, Shereka told Destiny, "Go for it, You can do it "D". You smiled, so, guess what, I'm sure Destiny W I L L do it in your memory. Not only the hours for the fall semester, but she W I L L become the dentist that she told you she would become all in your memory.

I would like to close this message with a glimpse back at Destiny's elementary years. Thanks for meeting me at Destiny's elementary schools to serve birthday cupcakes to her classmates and for attending her birthday parties. The Barney Party theme comes to mind immediately. You sat back and laughed and smiled while "Uncle" Johnnie assisted Destiny with entertaining us in song adorned in her Barney outfit from head-to-toe;
I love you
You love me
We're a happy family
With a great big hug
and a kiss from me to you
Wont you say you love me too

Here's a great big hug and a kiss from us to you and we say to you, "We love you too". This is not good-bye, but so-long. Rest in peace. We will see you when we get there to sing Hal-le-lu-jah, sing Hal-le-lu-jah by and by. Words cannot express how much you will be truly missed.

It will be the little things that you will remember, the quiet moments, the smiles, the laughter.
And although it may seem hard right now, it will be the memories of these little things that help to push
away the pain and bring the smiles back again.

God is with you always,
Vanessa & Family
