my dearest johnnie jr I REMEMBER WHEN YOU AND FRANCIS MET I WAS 9 YEARS OLD. FRANCIS LOVED HER SOME JOHNNIE AND YOU LOVED YOU SOME FRANCIS. JOHNNIE 46 YEARS IS A LONG TIME SO SPEND WITH A PERSON AND I KNOW THAT YOU LOVED HER DEARLY AND YOU MISS HER SO MUCH. HOLD ON TO GOD'S UNCHANGING HAND AND REMEMBER NO MATTER WHAT GOD IS IN CONTROL. SOMETIMES WE DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY BUT WE DO UNDERSTAND THAT THE WORD OF GOD STANDS FOREVER AND WITH THAT BEING SAID, TO BE ABSENT FROM THE BODY IS TO BE PRESENT WITH THE LORD SO YOU KNOW SHE IN THE PRESCENCE OF THE LORD. GOD LEFT THE HOLY SPIRIT AS OUR COMFORTER UNTIL HE RETURNS.
JOHNNIE WHEN EVER I THINK ABOUT YOU I THINK ABOUT SHIPLEY DOUGHNUT, THAT DUSTER AND YOU HANGING IN THE TREE. OH YEAH REMEMBER WHEN YOU GAVE US EXLAX FOR CANDY.( LOL) LOVE YOU!!!! MARIE THOMAS
I LOVE YOU AND I KNOW GOD WILL SEE YOU THROUGH THIS. Thursday, June 21, 2012 |

Shereka, On behalf of your Ahtletic Department Family at South Carolina State University, we send our sincere condolences during your time of bereavement. Please know that our prayers are with you and your entire family. You have always been a shining star in the eyes of your mother and I am sure that she would want you to continue to glow even as she has gone on. I remember the days when she would come to see you play volleyball at SC State. There was a special bond between the two of you and I am certain that the same bond exists between you and your children. It is a "Thomas" trait to be so loving. Whenever you need to talk always remember that I am only a phone call away. I am certain that you will press though this trying time because you are a survivor. Stay focused and know that one of the best things you can do to honor your mother's memory is to keep that BEAUTIFUL smile on your face. I love you.
