I knew Dick as an outstanding officer of the law and a friend. It has been my pleasure and an honor to have called him my friend for the past 40 years. He will be truly missed by many.

Richard was a loving husband and father. It was so wonderful to have them visit us in our home several years ago when Beaumont had a terrible storm. Our prayers are with Jo,Pat,Ricky and the grandchildren. We love you.

Jim W. Ellis (Tulsa, OK)

Pat, Rick and aunt Jo. Please accept my prayers to each of you at this time. In my eyes uncle Richard was a great man. He was so helpful to me during a stressful time in my life many years ago and I have never forgotten his strength and the strength he instilled in me during that time in my life. Yes, he was a great man and I can also rememeber some times when he was a real prankster also. I guess one of the man things that I learned from him was that it was always important to do what was right in the eyes of the Lord no matter what others thought or said. I will miss you uncle Richard.
