Dearest Katherine, I am so very sorry that I did not know Mildred died untill a week later so I did not get to go to the funeral. We have had a major change to a bedroom and the kitchen of our home and it has taken up all of my time.

Mildred was one of our group of five college classmates who shared an apartment near Loyola in New Orleans in the 1960s. We learned to cook and keep house and dream about the future together -- and develop intellectually. We've had two wonderful fun reunions in the last couple of years and were looking forward to our 50th college graduation reunion next year. She was funny and kind and thoughtful and a dear friend. Millie, we will miss you so much. Our prayers and love go with you.

My prayers to the family. I graduated high school with Mildred and she was always a wonderful person. We were together at St. Ann's and St. Anthony. I remember a birthday party at her house. The cake had a hidden horse in it and I got it. God bless her.
