Gertrude, I know this has been a very painful, lonely time for you. It may not seem possible now but it will get better with time and you are a strong person.
We will all miss Dick with his warmth, his quick wit, the quiet grin and twinkle in his eye.
You, of course, feel his loss most keenly, but that is the price we pay for the privilege of having known him.
