To Dick's Family....

I am fortunate to have known Dick as a professor and as a friend. He was a wonderful friend and over the years we had many fun conversations. Those conversations were always filled with lots of laughs. In class he was all business. He'd go down the row and ask each student to answer one homework question. An attempt to answer was okay, but if a student said "I don't know" they were questioned about their interest in passing the course.

Dick's recent years healthwise have been difficult, but he faced it all with dignity.

Farewell, my friend; I'll miss you for the wonderful prof you were, and for the great friend you were.
