It's been a few weeks since you left us. I know that you are rejoicing in Heaven with Maw Maw, and I'm so happy for you, but we miss you both, so much. I can't even think of you or talk about you both without crying. Even as I sit here, tears are streaming down my face. Who knew it would be this hard? I remember a few years back, listening to Maw Maw talk on the phone to someone about how bad she was feeling and saying that she was just "falling apart." I ran to the back room and just cried, realizing that you guys wouldn't be around forever. It hurt then to think about it, but, the reality hurts much worse. We are all a wreck. I guess in time it will get better. I don't think I've ever seen Mom hurt this much. The holidays will never be the same. I love you and miss you.

Not many people can say that they had a wonderful father as you but your kids can and i know they do. You were there for them in good times and bad and you helped your family through with strength and love. Sometimes you were hard on them but thats what makes them today to be able to survive anything. You will be greatly missed but I know you are happy now walking the streets of gold arm in arm with Mom East. I pray for the family and friends that God will give them peace and comfort during this time in Jesus name.

To Ray's family -- I am so sorry for the loss of your Dad. We have not had much contact in recent years as Carl's health slowly deteriorated but I always enjoyed visiting with your Mom and Dad. May God bless you during this difficult time.
