Oh by the way, thank God I have a good GPS....because you were my talking road map. I pray I never get lost spiritually 'cause I don't have mawmaw to call... and literally because now I don't have you either. Y'all just keep an eye on me and guide my path with your awesome new birds eye view in Heaven! Tuesday, October 25, 2011 |

Paw-Paw, Thank you. Thank you for being you! Stubborn, hard headed and aggrivating as heck... yet so very loveable. I think I inherited a lot of those awesome traits from you :-) I will deff miss sitting there in the kitchen drinking coffee with you and MawMaw. I can close my eyes and still remember when I was little and stayed the night with you. The three of us would go into the living room to watch TV and it was sooo hard for me not to talk, but I knew better haha! Then we would wake up at what seemed like a REDICULOUS hour to drink some coffee and go walking. I know you had to have gotten up even earlier than I did though, because I NEVER saw you without your hair combed, teeth brushed, glasses on and completely dressed...socks, (VELCRO)shoes and all! I remember walking down the street with you guys all the way to the dead end and back like it was YESTERDAY! I can honestly even recall some of our conversations. God I wish it WAS yesterday. I am so happy to have those memories of you. Not everyone got that kind of one on one time with you and I feel very lucky! Heck a lot of people don't even get the chance to MEET their grandparents, much less KNOW them. I can honestly say I knew you and I'm so proud! You were a hard working honest man that this family was very blessed to have. You are dearly missed and I'm so jealous but happy that you get to be in heaven, with maw maw again! Have fun "but don't get too excited, 'cause you know I'm like a bad penny"... and I'm gonna show up there too one day! I love you! :-D Tuesday, October 25, 2011 |
