I, like many others, met Mr. Charles while teaching private lessons at PNG High School back in 1997. He would always greet me with a big smile and ask how I was doing. I remember many nights listening to some of his wild and crazy teaching stories, and always loved "picking his brain" for teaching ideas. He loved music, and he loved his students! He was a mentor to many, and will be missed. Wednesday, July 13, 2011 |

I can only say that remembering Mr. Harry Charles is like remembering a breath of yesterdays memories. This man was monumental and extremely a decisive factor in making me the person that I am today! He lived a long and very productive life and brought great joy and education to many folks in life. What a great revelation to leave behind. God bless you Mr. Charles ...you will always be remembered! Wednesday, July 13, 2011 |

Carey, I know I don't have to tell you how wonderful your father was. He touched so many lives. There are so many teachers that we forget as the years go by. But, I think everyone who had your dad at PNJH will always remember him. He had a special gift for teaching, music, and humor! Everyone who walked through those band hall doors loved him! Thinking and praying for you and your family during your time of loss. Wednesday, July 13, 2011 |

My deepest sympathies to Mr. Charles' family in your loss. He was a wonderful person and your memories of him will be ever so precious. I will be lifting you up in prayer and may God comfort you and embrace all of you with his grace during this difficult time.
Mr. Charles was a wonderful teacher, one of my favorites, and I thought of him so very often over the years. I now know that he had the patience of Job to have taught and worked with junior high students. Rest in peace, Mr. Charles, until we meet again. Wednesday, July 13, 2011 |
