My thoughts go to the Family and friends of Mr Jan van Beveren, the best ever goalkeeper of The Netherlands.
I will keep his signed "Jan Van Beveren, Rugnummer 1" book forever in my heart.
Jan, R.I.P. and thanks for the nice memories on the soccer pitch! Wednesday, June 29, 2011 |

Condolences to Jan's family. In my few times with him I found him above a beyond all of his great soccer accomplishments to be a gentleman with humility. Those who have crossed paths with him are better for it. Rest in peace Jan. Tuesday, June 28, 2011 |

We didn't know Jan as a soccer player or coach; we knew him as one of the finest people we've ever had the honor of knowing. If everyone lived as Jan did, with class, grace, honor, kindness, and integrity, the world would be a better place. Our deepest condolences to his family and friends from all over the world, to the young players of Spindletop, and other young people he taught. His spirit will live on forever in the example and lessons he shared. Tuesday, June 28, 2011 |

The mark that he made on my daughter's life is priceless. He was so incredibly dedicated to the Spindletop Select Soccer Club and to the young people who played there. My daughter has always felt a special bond with him and he was such an inspiration and encouragement to her. I am so grateful to have several pictures of the two of them together. What he brought to our club and to our community will always make a difference and will never be forgotten. I am so thankful that, out of all the places in the world that he could have worked and played in, he chose us and became our own superstar. Grace and peace many thanks to his wife and family.
