To My Dad: I could not ask for a better upbringing. As a Dad you gave me every opportunity to succeed in this world of many faces. You taught how to love, sometimes in the tough forms. You taught me how to play like there was no tomorrow (until tomorrow came and you had to get up early and go to work) You taught me how to laugh, even when life got tough. You taught me not to “sweat the small stuff” and made me realize that most everything is "small" in the big picture. You taught me that money and material things are just tools and do your best to use them wisely. You taught me that the greatest attributes of character are integrity and respect and that one “Oh shit” wipes out 10 “at a boys” so fast it makes your head swim. You taught me that actions yell very loud and drown out any words You taught me that life is not fair so “deal with it”. Also that “nothing is perfect and neither are we”; that is why God created forgiveness and we better take that one to heart. You taught me that Gods greatest sanctuary is this wonderful earth that he has given us to use and enjoy, so praise him in it and respect it . Daddy, I am amazed at the riches that you have left us with. They are abounding in the love of close friends and family. More than ever, it is shown in the lives of your six kids and seven grand kids.
I am doing my very best to pass these teachings along.
I am so proud to be your son and thankful for all the blessing that you have given us with your life. We love you and will miss you with all of our hearts
Your Loving Son, Dee
