Beverly Jean Herring
September 20, 1929 - June 4, 2010
Jeanette Simon Rideau (Beaumont, TX)

I think of Mrs. Herring everytime I give a dinner party, because she taught me how to be a gracious host and set the table even for just my family and friend, because she told me everyone no matter who they were deserved to be treated special. She was a great inspiration in my life. I was a graduate of South Park High School class of 1979 and one year she invited our home economics class to her home for breakfast where she taught us to set the table and eat with manners and dignity, from that time on I decided that I wanted to entertain people and has been doing it professionally and socially every since not only do I thank her but my friends welcomed the knowledge. My only regret is that I did not continue to stay in touch with her because I know by now I would have grown to be one of the best hostesses in world. Thank you Mrs. Herring

Pat, Mike & Families,
So sorry to hear of the passing of Beverly. Such an elegant lady that I enjoyed spending several occasions with. Last time I saw her was at my Dad's (Carl Mac) funeral in Paris. My dad and Beverly enjoyed dancing so much whether it was in Paris or Beaumont. Please know that my family wishes you peace and wonderful memories of your mother.
