Larry & Jacquie Mecklenborg (TX)

We found out about Mark's passing totally by accident today, and are so saddened. He was definitely one of those people who leave the world a better place for having been in it. He lived his life setting a good example for the rest of us.

Because Larry's career with ExxonMobil has sent us all over the world, it has been years since we've seen Mark, but we've carried wonderful memories of our interactions at work and play while we lived in Beaumont. (This online guestbook required a state entry, so we chose Texas, but actually live in Canada at present.)

Please accept our most profound condolences for Mark's loss.

Paul Guilbeau (Lumberton, TX)

To all the Hidalgo Family, especially his wife and children!
I am so sorry that I was unaware of Mark being terminally ill. Since retiring a couple of years ago, I lost touch with so many dear friends that would risk their lives and virtually destroy advancement in their own careers, just so they could be there to help fellow employees in their greatest times of need as well as try to help with the more minor problems and complaints that I think required almost as much, if not more of his time.. Mark was that person you could always depend upon for help. He was an honorable and brave union representative that did his best for those he represented. He helped those he represented through some of the very most turbulent times in the history of the United States regarding labor relations. It was a very difficult task that I am sure took a lot out of him. I always considered him a very good friend, and I am very appologetic that I was not heir for him in his time of need. If I could help his family in any way it would be my great honor. The Lord must have seen that all his good days on earth were gone, and called to reap the rewards he so valiantly earned. Like you I will miss him greatly but hope you can focus on the good times you had together and remember that he would want you all to be happy in the rest of your lives.
Respectfully,

Kay, I am so very sorry to hear about Mark. Coach Brown told me about it today and it broke my heart. You and Mark was such a beautiful couple together and you guys always seemed to be so happy. I am so sorry I did not know he was sick, please let me know if there is anything that I can do for you. My prayers are with you and your family.
