Too many years have passed but I never forgot my Uncle James or my Aunt Bertha. I learned of the tragic news this morning and the sting was deep inside my heart. I am truly sorry for the loss of such a wonderful person. That is how I will always remember her. My love and prayers will be there for my Uncle James and his family throughout this trying time.

Dear Bertha,
I have to start off by saying that you were the most gracious lady I've ever known. I never heard you say a disparaging comment about anyone. While your passing has saddened everyone, the world has lost a very special person. The only solace is that you are free of pain and you are now at peace. We are all selfish in the fact that we didn't want to let go of you with the stark realization that our lives would not be as full without you here. We will all miss you, will always be in our hearts and thoughts. I just know that all the holidays will not be as joyous, and the realization that you are gone will impact all of us.
