I knew Dr. Shrontz through my work at the hospital and through Christmas parties etc. All I can say is "what a man"! He never failed to make me laugh or at least smile with his kindness and witty humor! It was a honor to have known him even just for a little while. To Laurel and girls I sorry for your loss. He will be missed by us all. God bless. Friday, January 29, 2010 |

Dr. Shrontz was such a wonderful surgeon. Beaumont has lost a true healer. I worked for Dr. Shrontz and always enjoyed the comical spirit he had. He had a way of brightening everyone's day. You will be missed so much. Our thoughts and prayers to you Laurel, and the girls. May he rest in peace. Michelle and Joe Taylor Thursday, January 28, 2010 |

Dear Laurel, Rachael and Cara, We want you to know you have been in our thoughts and prayers. Dr. Shrontz was our friend, our teacher, and our example of compassion for those who are suffering. We are better nurses and people for having known him. Thank you for sharing him with us. Thursday, January 28, 2010 |

When my granddaughter was a baby, she was sent to Dr. Shrontz . At the time my daughter had no insurance. the cost was going to be more than what she had . Dr. Shrontz was contacted and they reduced the payment so she could afford it. After dr. Shrontz saw her he said there was no charge for the visit and any visits that were needed after that there would be no charge. Thankfully she never had to see him again and she is a college student today. I have never met such a caring person. My thoughts and prayers will be with you. Thursday, January 28, 2010 |

We have lost a very talented surgeon who cared for his patients. I saw this as a nurse taking care of his patients as well as being a patient myself. Dr. Shrontz has made it possible for me to continue working with a back problem that would have put many on "disability". He was very easy to work with and always had a smile on his face. I was very saddened to hear of his passing and will miss knowing he is there to take care of me if needed. My prayers are with Laurel and daughters. Thursday, January 28, 2010 |
