My grandmother was a wonderful lady full of joy and love for everyone. My fondest memory of her is when I was 9 or 10. She and I were on our way somewhere (she was driving) and we saw a man with a "please help-need money" sign. His family and all their belongings were in a stationwagon behind the man. Grandmother said, "Let's go buy them some food". So she and I went to the Market Basket grocery store and she bought them several non-perishable grocery items and we delivered them to the family. I think to her it was no big deal, but to me it was the model of how Jesus is and wants us to be.
