Wayne was a fellow classmate of ours in the Vidor High School class of 1964. Like the majority of us in that class, we were together through most of our 12 years and probably for that reason, we have stayed in touch and stayed together as family... Wayne was part of that family!
Soft spoken, friendly, very intelligent, an easy smile, and always drawn to do right, Wayne was one of our class' real touch stones who could be depended on to bring reasoned perspectives to whatever hair brained ideas that a bunch of high school kids could be working on... and although I haven't talked to Wayne in years, I'm betting that he never lost those qualities,,,,"wise beyond his years" I believe the late Gordon Baxter would have put it.
My condolences to Waynes family, We cared about Wayne very much.
