I met Dr. Martin - Tony - through the Advisory Committee on Qualifications for Health Care Translators and Interpreters for the Health and Human Services Commission sometime in 2010.

I am so sorry for the loss of this gentle and joyful colleague. Tony was kind to me when I worked at Lamar University long ago and was always supportive over the years as my career evolved. His heart was a big as Texas and will be missed -as will his soulful laugh. Be at peace, my friend.

My sadness cannot be expressed in words, my friend my spirtual advisor my muscian friend, the person who taught me so many things about life and how to handel hard situations is gone. I don't want to say goodbye i want to call you and say come by and lets talk, but i can't do that, your in heaven with Jesus. I know your thrilled about that and I'm thrilled for you in that respect. But there is a void here in my heart and so many others that won't be healed until we meet again. I love you my brother and I will miss you more than I ever dreamed possible.
