I am truly heartbroken to hear of Mr. Sharp's passing . He was my greatest inspiration and mentor . He has been a constant in my life for almost 50years . Mr. Sharp took a wild 17 year old kid and turned him into a respectable man . I will always be grateful to him for the life he has given me. May our Lord hold and comfort you in your time of sorrow . Rest In Peace My Friend , I will see you in a little while ..... Lee

So sorry to hear of Col. Sharps passing. I had the honor and privilege of serving with him in the Texas Air National Guard. I was First Sergeant during his tenure as commander of the unit. I had a great respect for him as a commander and friend.
May he be long remembered as the Gentleman and Officer that he was.
