Michael Fertitta (silsbee, TX)

From the first stroke she taught me on a drum pad in the 6th grade the life lessons began. I did not follow them well at the time but as time goes on they replay in my mind every day as a adult.
Although I was her hell child for so many years, she never gave up on me. Kept pushing me to be the best I could be as she did all her students. No one cared more. She will be truly missed.
I think what she taught me most was how to dodge flying objects. (lol) y'all know what I'm talking about.
Take it easy on those Angels up there but keep them marching in a straight line.

Pat Trahan Knox (Beaumont, TX)

When I was a twirler at Lamar, I met the funniest, kindest band member! We had such a special relationship (I don't remember getting into any trouble) but if you did, you would want Diane with you! While working as Secretary to the Principal at Sallie Curtis Elementary School, Diane walked into the office one day and we both lit up! I absolutely adored her and am so very sorry for all of her family and friends. I'm sure her spirit will live on in all of her students. RIP my friend!

Kathy Wadenpfuhl (Pagosa Springs)

Diane has left an indelible mark on so many of her students and friends. A Master Teacher whose influence will be felt and paid forward for generations to come. It was an honor, Diane.
