The loss of one of the most admired men in Beaumont and other places beyond is a sad day for all of us.
I was privileged to know him through the SE Texas Genealogical & Historical Society as well as serve with him on the committee to restore Tyrrell Historical Library. It was through these connections that we learned Mary and I were cousins on her mother's side.
I have been grateful for friendship from both of them and offer my deepest sympathy to his survivors.

Mary and family. I m saddened to hear of your loss. Naaman was always such a wonderful and spirited man and a great friend. It was always a pleasure just running into him here or there and catching up. I know he is in a better place and free of the difficulties he has experienced over the last few years. Our thoughts and prayers are with you Philip and Cindy. I did not have the pleasure of knowing Mr. Woodland personally (only Philip and Cindy), but my family has a huge love of music and my mom also sang in the Interfaith Choir. His mark was definitely made her on earth!
