JUST FOUND OUT THAT PAT HAD PASSED AWAY. HE WAS A COUSIN OF MINE ON MY MOTHERS SIDE OF THE FAMILY. I SURE AM GLAD THAT I WENT BY TO SEE HIM LAST SUMMER IN HONEY ISLAND.

We met Pat when he bought the Spotted Horse Mine and moved in as a neighbor a mile or so up the hill. What a great guy! He was more fun to be around with his upbeat attitude and antics. We used to call Pat the Dennis the Menace of the Over 60's set. He had more energy and gumption than most kids. He was ALWAYS doing something! He was a great cook whether it be jams or syrups or salsas. Pat made it great! He would leave for his hunting camp in the fall and we always looked forward to his return trip back and the stories that followed. Pat never did make it back and he has been missed ever since he left after his accident. Pat left a big hole here in the canyon and will never be forgotten.

Dear Pat,

Every time Kris or I talked to you, you were always positive and upbeat and looked toward the future despite the illness. You were an inspiration to us, and we admired your determination.

Warmly,
Cathy Moser

Pat will be greatly missed here in Montana, he was a heck of cook and a great Friend and Hunting companion. We really enjoyed Pat's help during our time at the ranch my wife and myself managed. Pat was a true old fashioned Mountain Man as well, we spent a lot of time together shooting black powder and tuning arrows for hunting. Pat was quite an adventurer on his four wheeler helping to maintain many of the old trails in the Judith mountains near his Spotted Horse Mine property. Thank you Pat for your friendship!
