Becky and I are so sorry for your loss. Steve is now with God and no longer has to deal with all the physical problems he has had for many years.
We will be there Monday evening.

Rest In Peace Coach. The two years I worked with Shave at French (83-85) were the most enjoyable of my career. The great stories and fun we all had, have stayed with me all these years. We had great phone conversations through the years that always ended with a good belly laugh. Steve will be sorely missed by a lot of people. I am very sorry I will be out of town on business and can't make the funeral.

Coach I just thought I would let you know that I am still in shock but I know you are looking down on me to be the friend you know I am to your baby girl and her precious daughter. At this time I will try my best to help them grieve however thy may but I won't leave there side. I know that your strength has been passed down so I know that your family will use your strength through this. You continue to guide them and I know you will be the BEST Guardian Angel that they all will have. I am so blessed to say that I knew you and well you got on my behind just as you would Shannon so I feel honored. You will be missed by lots of people but you WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN! Love you and I will keep my eye on your baby girl ALWAYS.

Of all my years in athletics, Steve was the coach I looked up to the most. Prayers to the family...may they feel God's arms around them at this most difficult time.

We were shocked when Danielle called to tell us of the passing of Steve. Our memories of Steve revolve around the flood in Bevil Oaks and the struggles all of us endured. I (Beverly) also worked with Steve at French and remember the glory days of football he engineered. Please know that the Bailey family will be keeping your family in our prayers.

I'm gonna miss the great times of golf competition Steve & I had @ Magnolia Ridge Country Club in Liberty,Tx.What a blast he was to play golf with.RIP Coach,Bobby

So sorry to hear of Coach Shaver's passing. We are "farm" neighbors in Sour Lake. He was a wonderful man and will be greatly missed. May the Lord bless you and comfort you during this time.
