I was so saddened to hear of Father Fernandez passing. He was such a special person in my life- from despair to un-imaginable joy. What a true servant, teacher and friend. My condolences also to Christo-Rey. I wish he could have been with you'all longer and to Father Blanco who has lost a brother and a friend. Rest in Christs' peace. Tammy Benoit Stark

You will be missed and never forgotten

I was shocked when I heard about Fr. Fernandez. He was one of the best Priest we had here in Vidor. He had gone through so much and was a survivor. I will miss him I thought a lot of him and loved him as a Priest. God decided it was time for him to come home so he gathered up a beautiful angel and took him with Him. He was so loved.

Father Fernandez I have never known anyone like you. You have become one of my dearest friends over the years. I love you dearly and I am so thankful we spent time with you over the past few weeks, you'll always be in my heart.

He made a mark on so many lives. Always had a smile and kind word for everyone. We will miss you.

Father Fernandez was a warm, compassionate, and caring individual. He made friends with everyone he met and everyone that knew him, loved him. He always put a smile on your face with his wonderful sense of humor. He always had a positive outlook on everything. He was a part of our family as well as a wonderful friend. He will be sorely missed. We love you Father Fernandez someday, we WILL see you again.

Father Fernandez holds a special place in our hearts and will be greatly missed!
