The Lamar Music family has lost a true friend, talented conductor and teacher. I will always remember those hours of opera rehearsals watching in awe his great ability to make the singers on stage feel comfortable, yet catch every wrong note in the pit, and colaborate with Mr. Truncale to bring the whole show together each time. Thanks for the memories and inspiration.

So sorry to hear of Dr. Carlucci's passing. I enjoyed my time as a music major at Lamar in the early 80s and learning from Dr. Carlucci. He was the consumate professional who loved music and the craft of it and it showed in everything he did. Prayers for your family and may you rest in peace.

Dr. Carlucci was a superb mentor and teacher; in addition, he supervised the preparation and presentation of my senior composition recital in the spring of 1986. He certainly had a huge influence on my subsequent study, composing, and teaching. I remember him with the utmost respect and admiration, and I know that his legacy will continue to impact generations of musicians.

I am so saddened by the passing of such an outstanding musician and mentor. During my four years at Lamar University as a music major, I studied clarinet with Dr. Carlucci and came to admire and respect him in so many ways. It was Dr. Carlucci that gave me my first opportunity at performing with the Beaumont Symphony which continued for many years. I now continue to teach my elementary music students all about the orchestra! He will truly be missed.

It was a privilege to study with Dr. Carlucci at Lamar University in 1990. He was a caring individual who understood music at its highest level.

Dr. Carlucci was a very gifted musician, conductor, and mentor. He was one of the most professional gentlemen I have ever known. I very much appreciate what he taught me while I was a student at Lamar University. He was a tremendous promoter of the arts in Southeast Texas, and clearly he will be missed.
My sincere condolences to Dr. Carlucci's family!
