Dr. Carlucci was my first Clarinet instructor at Northwestern State University. I'm sure I'm responsible for a lot of his gray hair. Thanks to two years of fundamentals I'm forever grateful for a foundation that was established in 1967, though I had been playing (holding) the Clarinet since 1956. He was a tremendous teacher especially for some of us ADD students who needed repetition and a lot of patience. He was one of the great musical influences of my life and I'm sure for many others.

A very nice man that contributed so much to the arts at Lamar University & the Beaumont area.
The University & Beaumont are so lucky that he decided to make this area his home.

Dr. Carlucci was a wonderful teacher and a great musician. He will be missed. If anyone has information about his compositions, I would be interested in knowing more about his pieces based on familiar hymns and his organ works.

I am very sad to hear of Dr. Carlucci's passing. I was in the band at Lamar from 1974-1978 and worked in the music department, so I knew Dr. Carlucci. He taught me clarinet lessons for a few semesters, and I enjoyed that so much. I know he was very busy, so the fact that he was willing to take on a clarinet student who was not a music major meant a lot ot me. He was so talented and an amazing music teacher. He was very much loved by everyone in the music department, and I know he will be missed. Sending much love and sympathy to his family and friends.

I am so deeply touched by Dr. Carlucci's passing. I am a 1975 Lamar Graduate with a degree in music education. I was among some of his first students there. He was a GREAT theory teacher. I so remember his dedication and seroiusness about his teaching and his students. However, I also remember his clever side that often expressed itself with "why Nona, why?" instead of my name, Winona. God Bless you all as you mourn the passing of a great man.
