Joyce Noel Crittenden

I just wanted to say that Mrs. Crittenden was an inspiration to me when she taught my 7th grade class. Her energy and zeal for teaching was evident every day....so refreshing to be in her class.
I know she will be missed by her friends and family because she was so full of life and committed to tending to other's needs.

Noel, your mom was one of my favorite teachers! I had her for 7th grade Texas history and later worked for her in the counselor's office. When I was a senior I got a speeding ticket (30 in a 20) on my way to school and was a basket case when I got to school. She calmed me down, called my daddy, basically took care of me!She was a fine lady and a wonderful teacher. We Bowie kids were lucky to have had her! David and I are sorry for your loss. A wonderful person and great teacher...I will miss her. I graduated in 1966, but still remember the impact she had on my life. My thoughts and prayers are with her family...

Courage my dear ones

A beautiful lady that always put the needs of her students first.

It is with a deeply saddened heart that I make this entry. I am also from the French High School graduating Class of 1976 where Mrs. Crittenden guided so many of us through the trials of life as a teenager....undoubtedly one tough job! Her advise and shining light of love led so many of us to become successful adults. She was a true inspiration to us all. I also had the pleasure of a continued relationship with her after high school, as I worked for Jim Crittenden's company from 1979 until he retired and beyond. The love that these two shared for one another, their family and their friends, is what love and life is supposed to be all about. Thank you for all the love and support you gave us, Mrs. C! My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
