Vicki and family-
I was sad to learn the death of Rev. Jonte'. He was special to all our family and we loved him. I had a great visit with him earlier this year in March and had an opportunity to thank him for helping me built my faith and all the fun and friendship we shared together. His smile, laughter, and fun for life was still there, even though his health was failing at that time. I am thankful he was a part of my life. Our thoughts, love, and prayers are with all your family.

We will always remember his wonderful smile and his loving heart. He is now sharing his joy in heaven.

Gene you were a very special person and we know that our God has a special place for person's of your quality. We will miss your presence at Trinity UMC, but we know that God has a special place for you in his house, May God Bless You and place you in a special place in his house. We remember those who were important in our lives. Bro. Jonte' married us in 1963. He did a great job and we are still together. We regret that we will not be able to attend the services Wednesday, but we will be there in out hearts. We pray for peace and comfort to all who loved Gene.

Few men leave the legacy that he leaves--multitudes of people touched by his kindness and wonderful smile. Privileged to know him for many years and remember him always with respect for his knowledge but even more so for his thoughtfulness and example that he lived on a daily basis.

A friend Indeed......Nelson and Nancy will be saddened --their life was always brightened by your love. I shall always remember our quips about our birthdays--I will be 90 --10-27. Say 'Hello' to Dean for me.
