Vicky and Joe,
Gene will always be remembered in our hearts. As you share your stories and memories of how he lived his life and how very much he meant to you, may you find comfort. And, throughout this difficult time, may you also know the deep sympathy and concern that are felt for you and all your family. "My pew" will always seem empty without him. He always made me smile.

A BIG piece of me died with the passing of my friend. Bro Jonte has been there for every important event in my life. He baptized me, took me through God and Country in boy Scouts, Married me, buried my best friend and wife Marianne, and I always thought he would be there to bury me. He taught me how to be a Christian, did not challenge the way I believe, just challenged me to believe.
I will miss him greatly

My sincere prayers and deepest sympathies to Brother Jonte's family. He was such a special man to me and my family. He will be truly missed, but I can hear his laugh from heaven! God Bless

Gene was so sweet and had the BEST laugh ever! I was always so excited to see him coming into my office on Wednesdays. I am thinking of the entire family this week and keeping you in my prayers.
