Uncle Don will always be remembered for his warmth, compassion, wit, and deep value for family. He was my Godfather, and I treasure the wisdom and grace of our conversations over the years. Truly "a great tree has fallen."

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Boumans family in your time of loss. An outstanding man has passed and will be missed. Industrial employee relations have been forever affected by his contributions. He was a sound decent man.

My prayers and thoughts go out to Mr. Boumans' family. I have had the extreme pleasure of knowing and working with Mr. Boumans for over 10 years and know that he will be missed by myself as well as by everyone that knew him. We have truly lost a great man that had a heart of gold and passion for this community. The Golden Triangle Roundtable will not be the same without you. God Bless!!!

"Uncle Don" was a great uncle, patriot, and business man. My wife Judy and I will miss him greatly. But our condolences must go to aunt Syble, and my cousins Ted and Nancy. No one can take away our memories. I remember talking to uncle Don and my father in Charleston, SC. until 3:00am. discussing business and politics. I was in college at the University of South Carolina at the time. His business acumen inspires me to this day, but his heart was bigger than the state of Texas. We will always love him and never forget him .

Don and his lovely wife were special friends to my husband Sam and me. Don made us laugh a great deal, and one of my pleasures was to make him laugh in return. We always felt good when we were in his company as he had a way of making everyone feel that they were extra special when, in trutth, it was Don himself who was the unique, warm, caring and extraordinary one! He will b greatly missed but his legacy of caring for others will endure.

Mr. Boumans,

I was very blessed and honored to have had the opportunity of knowing you and being your friend. You truly were an inspiration to me and to so many others. I will miss you tremendously. I will also miss coming to your office to just sit and visit you. You always had wonderful stories to tell about your family.

Love always,
Angel Welch

Don was one of the nicest gentlemen I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. Gentlemen are a rare breed these days. He will be missed!
