"Uncle Don"
He had a way of making all of "the kids" feel special and important. He was the most constant person, never running hot or cold, he was just "Uncle Don". Pretty much what you saw was definitely what you got. He was a unique and wonderful Uncle.
My thought and prayers are with all of you at this time of great loss.
Sincerely
Bill "Billy" Boumans

We are all better people for having known and loved you, Don. You will never know just how much you have impacted my life and that of thousands of Junior Achievement students throughout your 43 years with us. May you rest in peace and dance with the Angels in Heaven.

I never had the privilege of meeting Mr Boumans, but I sure wish I had. He was clearly well loved and will be missed terribly. My heartfelt condolences to all of you in his family, as you deal with his passing; I pray you find some comfort in the many lasting contributions he made while he walked this earth. What an impressive gentleman and a real hero.

I had the pleasure of preparing multimedia and award ceremonies for the Golden Triangle Business Roundtable under the direction of Don and various members of the petrochemical industry. Some business meetings you just want to be over with but I remember looking forward to meeting Don. I looked forward to his smile and warm way of greeting all. Rest in Peace and thank you for your example that you sprinkled among the community to help it grow, flourish, and continue to shine.

Our loved ones leave the world but never our hearts....and memories live forever. May the memories that you have of Don keep him near, console you, comfort you, and bring you strength in the difficult days ahead. Please know that we are thinking of you in your time of sorrow. And even though we can't take away your pain....we love you enough to share it with you.

Looking back to my times as a kid visiting with Uncle Don, I remember his ability to captivate me with his this larger than life personality, booming voice that commanded attention and his love for family. I know my family will miss his quick whit and charm. Uncle Don will be missed.

Who would have thought that this big bear of a man would be the old softy of the Boumans family. He exemplified goodness and love, and all our lives were better having had Uncle Don show us what it means to love family.

Mr. Boumans name should be found in any definition of "friend" and "mentor". He was both to many including myself. You will be missed.
